Project
This website is primarily dedicated to the study of the pre-Hellenistic coinage of Cilicia Trachea (Rough Cilicia). The main objectives of the project are to catalogue coin types and their variants, conduct metrological and die analyses, establish the relative and absolute chronology of the coins, compile information on published coin hoards, and place the coinage within a broader cultural and historical context. Information is added gradually as time permits.
The footer of each page gives its publication date and, where applicable, the date of its most recent update.
Discussion, new information, and reasoned criticism are welcome. I reply to all emails. If you do not receive a response, your message may not have reached me because of a technical problem.
